O.J. SIMPSON
Former football star and unconvicted murderer O.J. Simpson goes to trial next week in Las Vegas on armed robbery and kidnapping charges. Jury selection starts on Monday. Simpson says he is ready for the trial.
The charges stem from a burglary at the Palace Station casino last year in which Simpson and a group of armed men burst into the hotel room of a memorabilia dealer. Simpson removed a host of personal items that used to belong to him but also stole some autographed sports items at gunpoint in the incident.
Worse, the entire fiasco was caught on tape and all of the men except one who accompanied Simpson to the hotel room have agreed to testify against the former NFL star.
Simpson, 61, has pleaded not guilty to felony charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. He faces possible life in prison on the kidnapping charges.
It’s absolutely unbelievable that after getting away with murder, Simpson now faces life in prison for stealing back his own baby pictures.
