The landmark Citgo sign, which has sat on a building outside of Fenway Park in Boston since 1940, was damaged by fire today. The fire melted and damaged some of the sign’s panels.
The 60-foot by 60-foot sign “looms” just over the Green Monster in left field. It stands on top of a building on Beacon Street.
