Now SPORTSbyBROOKS says that Variety and First Showing are both reporting that not only is the “Moneyball” movie a go but freakin’ Brad Pitt has been signed to play Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane. This despite the fact that there have been several reports that Beane is getting tired of the whole baseball thing and may soon be resigning as A’s GM.
For those of you unfamiliar with the term “Moneyball” it was a term coined by Wall Street Journal reporter Michael Lewis who wrote a book about Beane and his small market methods with the A’s of the same name.
