FROM SPORTSbyBROOKS VIA KOB TV IN ALBUQUERQUE
Channel 4 television in Albuquerque is reporting that race car driver Al Unser, Jr. was reportedly blackmailed and extorted by a local pimp.
The two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500 apparently paid the pimp after the man revealed he had tape of Unser in “a compromising position.” The man asked Unser, Jr. for $750,000. It’s unclear how much Unser paid.
Al Unser, Jr. has had a troubled personal life since leaving racing in the late ’90s. He is the son of Indy car legend Al Unser.
