The Florida Gators captured their second national championship in the last three years under coach Urban Meyer Thursday night with a 24-14 victory over Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl.

Quarterback Tim Tebow, the former Heisman Trophy winner, completed every one of his passes in the fourth quarter and also made a number of key runs to lead the Gators to victory. Tebow not only threw 231 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but he also ran for 109 yards.

Tebow becomes the fifth college football player since 1950 to win a Heisman Trophy and two national championships along with Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Gino Torretta and Johnny Rodgers. Despite his heroics, draft experts like Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN are predicting Tebow may not even be selected in the upcoming 2009 NFL Draft.

With the win, Florida not only wins the BCS Championship, but they also finished #1 in the final AP poll. Utah finished second in the AP voting with USC (which recived 1 first place vote) third.
