CHEAPASS NEW ORLEANS SAINTS MAKE SEAN PAYTON PAY FOR NEW ASSISTANT COACH OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET

Jay Glazer of FoxSports featured this gem in his column yesterday, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton was forced to come up with the extra $250,000 to hire the defensive coordinator he wanted out of his own pocket.

Gregg Wiliams was being courted by several NFL teams. Payton wanted Williams so badly he agreed to shift money off his contract this year and give it to the former Buffalo Bills coach. Saints owner Tom Benson refused to spring for the extra money to hire Williams. No wonder Saints players do things like spread feces on Benson’s cars.
