JEFF KENT’S MUSTACHE
Jeff Kent announced his retirement from baseball today. Kent finishes his career as the all-time leader in home runs by a second baseman. He is a possible Hall-of-Famer and undoubtedly one of the best offensive players at his position in the history of baseball.
However, that’s not how he will be remembered. Kent will always be known as the acerbic, surly clubhouse presence who openly feuded with Barry Bonds and was despised by some teammates. (According to a classic interview with T.J. Simers, Kent claimed his baseball bretheren didn’t get along with him because he didn’t like porn.)
Oh, that and crashing his motorcycle doing wheelies at the Giants spring training facility then lying about it.
