Just in time for the arriving Super Bowl media, the Tampa Tribune has run a feature on the city’s prostitution laws. The article quotes a police spokesman as saying prostitution is inevitable during high profile events,
“The sun rises in the east and hookers come to town for the Super Bowl.”

The article also describes the “six foot rule” that exists in Tampa strip clubs. Patrons are not allowed to actually touch girls , or even come within six feet of them. Violators can face a fine and up to 60 days in jail. You can also be fined $1,000 for receiving a lap dance in a Tampa strip club.
