DANIEL BARD

The Boston Red Sox will reportedly call up relief pitcher Daniel Bard from Triple A Pawtucket today. Bard is probably pitching better than anyone in minor league baseball. He has 6 saves and a 1.13 ERA so far this season. Bard has struck out 29 hitters in 16 innings.

Most impressively, Bard has reached 100 MPH on the radar gun.

It should be very exciting to see Bard, hopefully the Sox can get a lead tonight on the Rays and Francona will get a chance to give the rook a chance to get his feet wet without putting him in a high-leverage situation.
