Golfer John Daley’s six month suspension by the PGA officially ends this week. However, the flamboyant golfer will NOT qualify for the U.S. Open.
Daley missed qualifying during a play-in for one 13 empty slots in the U.S. Open field. Daley shot a 1-over par 143 for 36 holes. Among the golfers who did qualify for open spots were former major winners David Duval and Tom Lehman. Like Daley, Davis Love III and Jose Maria Olazabal also failed to qualify.
