GLENN BECK

The good news: The Glenn Beck Program on the Fox News Channel set the network’s all-time ratings record last week. Beck drew the most viewers in the history of the station. He destroyed the competition, garnering more viewers in his time slot than CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, and Headline News combined.

The bad news:  Beck lost 20 sponsors.

The civil rights group Color of Change has called for a nationwide boycott by Beck’s advertisers following comments he made July 28th on another Fox news show. Beck called President Barack Obama a racist who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people.”

Among the sponsors who have dropped off Beck’s show are Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Travelocity, CVS, GMAC Financial, Geico, Radio Shack, ConAgra, Procter & Gamble, Sargento cheese, Men’s Wearhouse and State Farm.

Gawker.com ran an article on the advertisers who are still placing buys on the Glenn Beck show. Those include Extenze (penis-enhancing pills), Brez (anti-snoring strips), Inogen One (portable oxygen), Egg Genie, Rosetta Stone, Oreck Vacuums and FreeScore.com.

I find it very interesting that walmart has dropped the Glenn Beck Program. They dont have a problem, as of Aug 18th, selling his books.

  2. Too Safe Says:

Beck has not taken losing sponsors lightly as supposedly he has been spending much of his off camera time alone crying in dark, musty stairwells. Check out his new ridiculous sponsors… http://unreasonablysafe.wordpress.com/2009/08/18/becksnewsponsors/

  3. Tony Lorizio Says:

This independent member of “We the People” now has a list of companies with which not to do business.

The OBAMA administration and Congress are ignoring the will of the people at very turn. This behavior by elected officials must be examined and the alphabet news will not do their job of reporting the facts.

Beck and his presentations always supply the facts to support assertions unlike the talking-head opinion machines.

These companies must be afraid of the government..

Thomas Jefferson said, ” When people are afraid of the government you have tyranny. When the government is afraid of the people you have liberty.” This citizen chooses liberty and those entities that will protect that liberty.

The aforementioned list of companies are doing both the population they wish to sell to a disservice and will loose customers who believe in liberty and an informative PRESS.
