TED KENNEDY’S ABORTED NFL CAREER

Bet you didn’t know this. According to a blurb on the Yahoo! Sports NFL blog, the late Senator Ted Kennedy passed up a chance for a professional football career.

Chris Chase writes that Kennedy (perhaps due to his father’s connections) once received a tryout with the Chicago Bears. Kennedy also turned down an invitation to attend training camp with Vince Lombardi and the Green Bay Packers.
