The Wall Street Journal features an article today detailing an upcoming vote in Congress aimed at forcing a college football playoff system. The House Energy and Commerce Committee will hold hearings this week on “The College Football Playoffs Act of 2009″ (H.R. 390). The bill apparently has bipartisan support.
A spokesman for one congressman called the BCS “a moneymaking cartel.” The proposed law would prohibit the BCS from any marketing of or calling their title game a “national championship.”
