CHANNEL 8 REPORTER JONATHAN HUMBERT NAILS NEVADA GOVERNOR JIM GIBBONS
Nevada governor Jim Gibbons is a moron. His political career has been plagued by scandal. Whether it’s sexual assault allegations, making out with a Playboy playmate in a parking lot, text messaging his mistresses on his government phone, or being accused of taking bribes, Gibbons’ run as governor has been besieged by controversy.
On top of all this, the state of Nevada has run into a financial crisis, facing a $1 billion budget shortfall . The state is going into an emergency special session this week to make drastic budget cuts. Under this climate, the local CBS TV affiliate, KLAS channel 8, just busted Gibbons getting off a plane with his mistress. The station implies that Gibbons used taxpayer money to fly his girlfriend to Washington D.C.
The highlight of the interview is when reporter Jonathan Humbert asks Gibbons’ mistress Kathy Karrasch why she ran back into a restroom to flee KLAS tv cameras. Karrasch reponded that she “forgot to wash my hands.” Gibbons then tells Humbert he’s “full of s**t” as Karrasch gets into his state-owned SUV and has his (taxpayer paid) security threaten the reporter.
Paying for his mistress to travel with him is fairly awkward for Gibbons since there’s a story out TODAY that Gibbons gave a deposition UNDER OATH that he hasn’t had sex since 1995. The deposition came during Gibbons’ protracted divorce.
