What’s the world coming to? You can’t even make fun of Duke basketball any more.
The Indianapolis Star ran an article previewing this weekend’s Final Four called “Despising Duke.” That article pointed out how a lot of sports fans don’t like the Duke basketball program for one reason or another.
The article also featured a satirical photo of Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski with fake devil horns, a mustache and a target drawn on him. Let’s just say Duke fans weren’t happy about the picture. An obviously peeved Krzyzewski brought up the photo at yesterday’s press conference himself.
The Star pulled the photos after an initial run of the paper and their sports editor was forced to apologize that the mocking photo of Krzyzewski ever made it into print.
