DID HE BEAT THE DOG TOO? FORMER NBA REF TIM DONAGHY SHOWN HERE WITH THE YOUNG DAUGHTERS HIS WIFE ACCUSED HIM OF BEATING
The dispute between Tim Donaghy and his book publisher reached a new level over the weekend. VTi-Media is accusing the disgraced former NBA referee of threatening to send a mob hitman after them.
Donaghy and his publisher are feuding over money. While he was in jail, Donaghy wrote “Personal Foul: A First-Person Account Of The Scandal That Rocked The NBA.” No reputable publisher would touch the book. Instead, Donaghy decided to forego an author’s check in exchange for a percentage of the book’s sales. So far, VTi-Media has paid Donaghy $0 in royalties. This is a major problem for Donaghy since he owes the NBA over $200,000 in court-ordered restitution. Donaghy was planning to pay his court costs with the money he made from his book. No money, and Donaghy could be sent back to prison.
According to the Philadelphia Daily News, Donaghy’s publisher announced they were severing ties with him and seeking a restraining order against the recalcitrant ref because of “safety concerns.” A spokeswoman for the company says Donaghy continuously threatened the company over money and finally said, “You know I have associates in the Gambino crime family and they are active in this part of the state.”
Donaghy is such a scum and a jerkoff that the Gambino Crime Family literally felt compelled to put out a press statement over the weekend disassociating themselves from the convicted felon and degenerate gambler.
Actually, if the mob were going to kill anyone it would probably be Donaghy himself since he’s not only a rat, but his big mouth caused them to shut down a very lucrative basketball betting operation. There were even reports that Donaghy was beaten up by inmates with organized crime ties while he was in prison.
