Rick Chandler of NBC Sports hilariously picked up on the Alec Baldwin/Glengarry Glen Ross theme (although he got the name of the film wrong) today and pointed out that first place is a Cadillac. Second place is a set of steak knives. And, at least in North Korea, third place is “you’re dead.”
Chandler referenced a Radio Free Asia report that says North Korea soccer coach Kim Jong-hun is in serious trouble and his “safety is in jeopardy” after being humiliated in this year’s World Cup. Reports are that Kim is facing a firing squad for “betraying” his country. North Korea was bounced in the first round of the World Cup and was humiliated by Portugal 7-0.
