Baseball manager quits over contract dispute

As ESPN.com phrased it, “Washington Nationals manager Jim Riggleman put all his chips on the table and came up empty.” Riggleman abruptly resigned as the Nationals manager Thursday after they refused to pick up the option on his contract for 2012.
