THE TRUCK INVOLVED IN FRIDAY’S TRAGEDY

A 6-year-old boy was killed Friday night after being struck by flying debris from a monster truck show in Tacoma, Washington. Witnesses say parts broke off a red truck at the “Monster Jam” event at the Tacoma Dome. The truck was “doing donuts” during a freestyle competition which shot debris into the crowd.
The fatally injured boy was struck in the head and began “bleeding profusely.” Witnesses also say medical attention for the boy was slow in arriving and people were throwing cups out of the stands to get the attention of officials while “they didn’t even stop the damn show.” The event’s promoter was criticized for not only failing to stop Friday’s show, but holding another “Monster Jam” at the same facility as the boy’s death on Saturday as well.
