Team USA just won the FIBA World Championship in basketball with two rookie guards, Tyreke Evans and Stephen Curry, on the team. Ever wonder why fellow rookie star Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks wasn’t selected to the squad? According to Jennings, it must be the shoes.

Jennings told Yahoo! Sports he wasn’t chosen for Team USA simply because he doesn’t endorse Nikes. Jennings has a shoe contract with Under Armour. By the way, both Evans and Curry have endorsement deals with Nike.

There have been other Nike shoe conspiracy theories in the past.

BUCKS BRANDON JENNINGS BECOMES YOUNGEST PLAYER TO EVER SCORE 50

Milwaukee Bucks rookie guard Brandon Jennings broke a record held by LeBron James Saturday night as he scored 55 points in a win over the Golden State Warriors. The double nickel makes Jennings the youngest NBA player in history to score 50 points in one game. The previous record had been held by James.

James is just the third player in Bucks history to score 50 points joining Michael Redd (57) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (51.) It was also the most points scored by a rookie in over 40 years-since Earl Monroe scored 56 in 1968.
