JACK CLARK RIPS CHOKING CARDINALS: “THEY’VE GOT POOPY IN THEIR PANTS”

Former St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Jack Clark absolutely eviscerated his former club on the radio this week. Clark told ESPN Radio in St. Louis that the Cards “had poopy in  their pants”

The Cardinals have played terribly recently. They are 3-7 in their last 10 games and have fallen seven full games behind the upstart Cincinnati Reds in the N.L. Central standings.

Clark isn’t happy with the Cardinals recent play. He said the team wasn’t suffering from a lack of effort. Instead, they were putting out a “pathetic” effort. Clark clobbered the Cardinals calling them “awful” and “pathetic.”He concluded it may be time for the club to”back up the truck (and) ship ‘em all out” referring to Cardinals players.

Awkward.

When the St. Louis Cardinals “Winter Caravan” meets today the two featured ex-players will be:

1. Mark McGwire-the most famous home run hitter in the history of the team and

2. Jack Clark-who hit arguably the most famous home run in the history of the team

The two former slugging first basemen will be side-by-side signing autographs for fans. Unfortunately, as it turns out, Clark hates McGwire’s guts.

In an interview with St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Rick Hummel, Clark said of McGwire:

“I’m not even going to say hello to him. I’m not going to shake his hand. Just seeing him in uniform makes me throw up.”“

Clark goes on to call McGwire a “cheater” who should be banned from baseball because of his admitted steroid use.

Ouch!

Clark’s opinion of the “steroids era?”

“The whole thing is creepy. They’re all creeps. “

Clark also hammered Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa over the steroids issue.
