MACHIDA DEFENDS TITLE AT UFC 104

Lyoto Machida defeated Shogun Rua at UFC 104 in Los Angeles Saturday night. The Staples Center crowd booed the unanimous decision. It was Machida’s first defense of his UFC light heavyweight belt.

Also on the card, Cain Velasquez moved his record to 7-0 with a win over Ben Rothwell. The victory appears to put Velasquez in line for a heavyweight title shot against Brock Lesnar.

LYOTO MACHIDA TAKES ON MAURICIO “SHOGUN” RUA IN UFC 104

UFC 104 is tonight. The relatively weak lineup features a match between light heavyweights Lyoto Machida and Shogun Rua at the top of card. Also fighting is promising heavyweight Cain Velasquez and veteran Joe Stevenson.

The event is taking place at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
