Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort

Anderson Silva retained his UFC middleweight championship belt Saturday with a first round knockout of Vito Belfort. Silva destroyed Belfort with a spectacular kick to the face.

The win gives Silva a record 13 straight victories in the Octagon. Also on the card, former UFC light Heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin defeated another former champ, Rich Franklin.

A MASKED ANDERSON SILVA: CLOWN OR ASSCLOWN?

 UFC 126 takes place tonight at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The top of the card features champion Anderson Silva versus Vitor Belfort Anderson is arguably the least popular champion in UFC history. He almost lost to Chael Sonnen in August. In fact, Soennen was winning the fight until the last 45 seconds when Silva pulled it out. Still, Silva is the longest reigning UFC champion ever. He also hold’s the longest current win streak in the UFC.

Also on the card is fan-favorite Forrest Griffin who is coming back after a 16 month injury layoff. He is taking on former UFC champion Rich Franklin.
