The ’60s action cartoon “Jonny Quest” is coming to the big screen.

The Los Angeles Times says a live action version of the cartoon will feature Disney prettyboy Zac Efron from the “High School Musical” series. The new Jonny Quest movie has angered fans of the old tv series, who point out that the original cartoon’s hero was an 11-year-old. Jonny Quest reruns still air on Boomerang to this day. The series started in 1964.

News of a Jonny Quest flick comes just after the defiling of the old cartoon character Yogi Bear.  The announcement of a new movie based on that ’60s cartoon was also made recently.
