EVIL, LYING COMMITTEE SAYS THE ALTERNATIVE TO THE BCS ISN’T A PLAYOFF, BUT RETURN TO “OLD” BOWL SYSTEM

HARVEY PERLMAN: CHAIRMAN OF THE “BCS PRESIDENTIAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE”

Did you know that college football and the BCS has a “Presidential Oversight Committee?”

The Sporting News Blog has a great piece today on the committee’s chairman, Harvey Perlman. Perlman is actually threatening those who want a college football playoff system, which at this point is practically everyone including fans, media, players and even coaches.

Last week Air Force football coach actually compared the BCS to Communism. The response by the BCS was to threaten fans. Perlman says the alternative to the current BCS system in college football is NOT a playoff. He says if the BCS were to go away the alternative is to go back to the “old” bowl system in college football. That would include conferrences having predetermined ties with bowl games and no postseason championship game.

Speaking in Nebraska, Perlman said, “It’s hard to see why a playoff is a good idea.”

He points out that the Mountain West’s plan for an eight-team playoff was rejected “unanimously” by the NCAA.
