NCAA PAYS PITCHER $750,000 TO SETTLE LAWSUIT

In 2008, the NCAA declared Oklahoma State pitcher ineligible because he had retained an agent as an “adviser.” Oliver sued. Earlier this year he won his lawsuit. A judge ordered Oliver reinstated and he pitched for the Cowboys this past season. The NCAA yesterday agreed to pay Oliver a $750,000 settlement.
