Thank you, Sid The Kid! Despite almost blowing the game by giving up a last-second goal in regulation, Canada closed the 2010 Winter Olympics by winning the gold medal in hockey. Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby put in the game winning goal in overtime to give Canada a 3-2 victory over Team USA.

The game-winning goal followed a miracle score by Zach Parise of Team USA. Parise, who plays for the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, scored with just 24 seconds left to send the game into overtime by beating Canadian goalie Roberto Luongo. Luongo, who plays for the Olympic hometown Vancouver Canucks, ended up being the game winning goalie anyway with Crosby’s score.
