Great. The right-wing Parents Television Council is now protesting not just words that appear on televison but imaginary words that DON’T appear. The group announced it was contacting 340 companies that are potential advertisers and urging them to boycott the new sitcom “(Bleep) My Dad Says.” The series is a new William Shatner vehicle that purports to be based on the life of comedian Justin Halpern and his father.

The Parents Television Council is literally protesting the “beep” in “Beep My Dad Says.” The series is drawing protests despite the fact that it has yet to ever air. The show’s co-creator responded today by saying the PTC should have more important “S#*!” to worry about.

In an attempt to pull off a Betty White-esque comeback, Shatner used the “S”-word seven times in a recent interview.
