YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR: KENTUCKY SIGNS $200,000 BASKETBALL RECRUIT

Early this month, the Chicago Sun-Times ran an item in a story that had various college basketball “sources” saying prep phenom Anthony Davis Jr. was going to choose the University of Kentucky. The reason? The Wildcats were supposedly paying him $200,000.

Now, shockingly, Davis has officially chosen Kentucky. Both Kentucky and Davis Sr. have repeatedly denied the stories of the 6’10” recruit getting the 200 grand for enrolling at Kentucky. That now makes three Top 10 high school recruits that Kentucky coach John Calipari has signed this year after losing five guys to this season’s NBA Draft.
