The University of Oregon had such a tremendous offensive outoutput in their season opener against New Mexico that they almost killed their mascot. The mascot performed a staggering 506 pushups in the Ducks 72-0 win. It could have been worse. Oregon threw an interception and failed to score three other times despite being inside New Mexico’s 10 yard line. Otherwise, the Ducks would have scored over 100 points.
The mascot feat was so impressive that USA Today put it in a headline of the game.
