Ok, Greg Nosal isn’t the first football player to play in a game after having the tip of his finger cut off. Ronnie Lott famously did so with the San Francisco 49ers back in the day. However, the Virginia Tech guard DID play most of this past weekend’s against Central Michigan after losing a chunk off his pinkie.
Nosal described the incident in gory detail. He got his finger caught in a helmet which ripped loose part of the digit. Nosal admitted he was a little surprised about seeing all the blood, but…
“I was more shocked about seeing my bone and the yellow fat in the finger.”
