They’re calling them the Air Jordan Mall Riots.
The release of a special edition of Nike Air Jordan shoes led bedlam in suburban Texas on Friday. Hundreds of mall goers became unruly after waiting hours for a chance at purchasing new kicks.
Houston tv stations were frantically running “Mall Mayhem” stories complete with live shots detailing angry shoppers waiting in line.

Chicago shoe store owner Boe Eng has been arrested and charged with felony theft after trying to sell Chicago undercover cops $162,000 worth of fake Nikes. The counterfeit shoes included phony Air Jordans and Air Force 1’s.
