Major League Baseball screws the pooch yet again

For several years now, Major League Baseball has held one game each season that has beeen set aside for civil rights. The “Civil Rights Game” was started as a tribute to Jackie Robinson.

Yesterday, that annual game was held in Atlanta and honored rock guitar legend Carlos Santana. Unfortunately for MLB, Santana used the occassion to blast the host city and point out how racist a just-passed Georgia immigration bill is.

Standing on Turner Field with an inflatable baseball in the background, Santana said, “The people of Atlanta, Georgia, you should be ashamed of yourselves.” Santana continued, “This is about fear, that people are going to steal my job. No we ain’t. You don’t clean toilets and clean sheets, stop shucking and jiving.”

Carlos Santana opened the show “Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits” at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas this past week. The show takes place at the recently expanded showroom “The Joint” and has received good reviews.

There was a gossip item saying that the veteran rocker had ordered chicken-fried steak for eight straight meals at Mr. Lucky’s following his late evening shows.

Singer Carlos Santana has signed a two-year deal to headline at the Hard Rock casino in Las Vegas. Santana will perform 36 shows a year at The Joint.
