UNDERRATED POST GAME COACHING MELTDOWNS: MIAMI’S CHARLIE COLES

As far as post game press conference tirades by coaches go, it may not have been a classic in the Hal McRae/Jim Mora sense, but Miami of Ohio’s Charlie Coles certainly WAS entertaining following his team’s Monday night loss to Kentucky.

Coles’ tiny mid-major RedHawks had just lost a tough 72-70 game to the heavily favored Kentucky Wildcats-the #4 team in the country which has FOUR projected NBA draft picks on the team. Even more heartbreakingly, Miami lost the game on a shot by a player (John Wall) who had never played a college basketball in his life with 0.5 seconds left on the clock (see below picture.)

So, naturally, Coles went off when a reporter asked him how HE “let one get away” in the press conference following the game.

Meanwhile, John Wall is already a Kentucky legend one game into his college career.
