MIKE HUCKABEE PARDONED ONE OF THE BIGGEST COP KILLERS IN U.S. HISTORY

MIKE HUCKABEE: PERSONALLY ORDERED THE RELEASE OF ONE OF THE BIGGEST COP KILLERS IN U.S. HISTORY FROM AN ARKANSAS PRISON

It turns out that former Arkansas governor and current Fox News Channel talk show host Mike Huckabee personally granted clemency to a man who is the prime “person of interest” in the killing of four police officers in Washington state Sunday. Huckabee ordered the release of violent criminal Maurice Clemmons from an Arkansas prison in 2000. In addition to possibly killing four cops, Clemmons also raped a child following Huckabee’s pardon. Columnists are calling this Huckabee’s “Willie Horton moment.”

Huckabee issued a statement that ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT MENTION that he signed the paperwork and granted the release of Clemmons, who was serving a life sentence in Arkansas. Conservative blogger Michelle Malkin pounded Huckabee on her website Sunday. And, as another conservative blogs point out, Huckabee signed “that piece of paper over the strenuous objections of everyone involved.”

MICHELLE MALKIN: ALSO HATES MIKE HUCKABEE

One Republican chatroom featured a comment that said,

“As a good Christian woman, I think Huckabee should kill himslf, I really do. God bless everybody.”

In addition to Clemmons, Huckabee also pardoned a convicted rapist named Wayne DuMond while he was governor of Arkansas. Huckabee did so because DuMond had “found Jesus.” DuMond raped and murdered another woman following his pardon, a fact that fellow Republican candidate Mitt Roomney beat Huckabee over the head with repeatedly during the 2008 presidential election.

Maurice Clemmons was not in a house that police raided.

BIG STRETCH: FOX NEWS CHANNEL COMPARES ITSELF TO HUNTER S. THOMPSON

October 24, 2009

HUNTER S. THOMPSON

In its war of words with the White House, Fox News is now comparing itself to the late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson.

The comparison was made in an opinion piece by Lloyd Green for the Foxnews.com website.

Thompson was famously kicked off Richard Nixon’s campaign plane in 1972 while he was covering the presidential election for Rolling Stone magazine. He wrote about the incident in his book “Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail.”

Thompson was eventually reinstated to the White House press corps, but only after getting Pat Buchanan drunk. Thompson sat the then-White House Communications Director down for “a whole bunch of drinks.”

Green concludes his piece by suggesting a Jack Daniels summit between the White House and Fox News head Roger Ailes.

NEWSWEEK SAYS FOX NEWS IS “UN-AMERICAN” AND CALLS FOR BOYCOTT

October 20, 2009

foxnewsweek

First, they were accused of not being a “real” news channel, now a major U.S. magazine is calling Fox News “un-American” and also accuses the network of “actively trying to kill its viewers.”

In a column for Newsweek, Jacob Weisberg writes that, “Fox News isn’t just bad. It’s un-American.”

Weisberg says the Fox News Channel is “a textbook example” of biased journalism. He claims that Fox News is so right-wing that during any “five minutes’ random viewing of the channel at any hour of the day demonstrates its all-pervasive slant.”

Weisberg then charges that Fox News “sponsored as much as it covered” this summer’s anti-Obama Tea Parties. He then bashes the usual Fox News targets including station employees Glenn Beck and Karl Rove. Weisberg them goes a step further. After viewing a show where Beck  told his audience not to get vaccinated against the swine flu (during a week in which 80 American children died from the disease), Weisberg accuses Fox News of being “the first network to actively try to kill it’s viewers.”

It is doubtful that Weisberg was TRYING to be funny. However, his rant about Fox News and their attempt to “kill” their viewers is hilarious. Even if unintentionally.

Besides, the swine flu show was actually Beck’s SECOND attempt at trying to kill his viewers. Back in June, there was an E. Coli outbreak that was traced to people eating uncooked Nestle cookie dough. Consumers in 29 states got sick from eating the tainted cookie dough. Some almost died. Beck scolded the evil government for trying to ban such a wholesome, all-American product then proceeded to munch raw cookie dough on the air.

What’s Weisberg’s solution for stopping all of the “un-american” and audience-murdering activities at Fox News? He is proposing a network-wide boycott. Weisberg says no “respectable journalists” should ever go on the Fox News Channel ever again.

CROSS-EYED LEFTY FIRED BY FOX NEWS

October 17, 2009

MARC LAMONT HILL

Acting on the accusation that they had “their own Van Jones,” Fox News Channel has fired liberal contributor Marc Lamont Hill. Conservative critics were turning up the heat and calling Hill a “defender of cop killers” and racists.

The conservative watchdog group “Accuracy in Media” sent someone to ambush Rupert Murdoch at the annual News Corp. shareholders meeting. Too late. When Cliff Kincaid badgered Murdoch as to why he wouldn’t fire a “left-wing cop-killer apologist” like Hill, the crusty Australian informed him that Hill had ALREADY been fired.

Hill was involved in a pissing match with ultra-conservative occassional Fox News guest David Horowitz. The two sparred in an ugly online war of words following Hill’s final appearance on “The O’Reilly Factor” last week. Horowitz derided Hill (a doctor and professor at Columbia University) as an “affirmative action baby” and questioned his academic credentials. In an insanely borderline racist screed, Horowitz called Hill a “professor of rap music.”

Hill fired back on Twitter that he had a doctorate in anthropolgy compared to Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh who are HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES (his emphasis.) Mediaite.com predicted the demise of Horowitz following the exchange. They were wrong. It was the thoughtful and articulate Hill who was sacked by Fox News.

GLENN BECK: TEARY-EYED FOX NEWS HOST

Fox News Channel talk show host Glenn Beck has been on the air for less than two weeks with his new tv program. Despite his short tenure, the website Crooksandliars.com has noted that Wednesday marked the second time in less than two weeks that Beck actually broke down crying on live television.

Beck actually teared up while introducing former VP candidate Sarah Palin on his first show for Fox. He cried again on Tuesday while referring to a story he did for his show on CNN Headline News.
