Apparently, former Penn State and NFL running back Larry Johnson isn’t planning on returning to professional football any time soon. The website dissed Johnson by referring to him as a current “party DJ.”

In reality, Johnson made his Vegas debut recently and has been announced as the afterhours DJ for Drai’s on the Las Vegas Strip. Johnson a former Pro Bowl runner with the Kansas City City Chiefs was cut early this season by the Washington Redskins. He is only 31.

The Kansas City Chiefs have suspended Larry Johnson until November 9 following his use of gay slurs Sunday and Monday. Because of the team's bye week this week, Johnson will only miss the Chiefs' road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Nov. 8.

The Kansas City Chiefs have suspended underperforming running back Larry Johnson after he made repeated gay slurs and questioned the qualifications of his coach Todd Haley on his Twitter account.

Johnson will be suspended until November 8th, missing one actual game as well as the Chief’s bye week. Much of the national media has made the suspension of Johnson about the fact that he used the word “faggot.” But, as Jay Glazer of FoxSports points out, Johnson’s primary offense was calling out his own head coach.

Johnson rushed for over 1,700 yards for the Chiefs as a Pro Bowl runner in 2005 an’06. This season has been a struggle with Johnson producing a laughable 2.7 yards-per-carry. That average is one of the worst in NFL history and made the decision to sit Johnson easier.

There had been rumors that the Chiefs might simply release Johnson even though he is in the midst of a five-year $45 million contract that guarantees him at least $19 million. ESPN confirmed that Johnson is on shaky ground. John Clayton has speculated that Johnson “might” have played his last game with the Chiefs. He is just 75 yards short of setting the Kansas City all-time rushing record.

Johnson’s scumbag agent isn’t doing him any favors. Peter Shaffer says he “respects the club’s right” to TRY to suspend Johnson, but he plans an appeal over the “alleged” incident of the gay slurs. Calling the slurs “alleged” is pretty stupid since a) Johnson admitted he made them b) apologized for making them c) the comments appeared on Johnson’s own Twitter account and d) the Kansas City Star has audio of Johnson making a slur on gays and using the term “faggot.” You might also take into account Johnson’s idiotic behavior last season which also got him suspended.

Even Johnson’s own father, a defensive line coach at Penn State, called the running back’s behavior “unacceptable.”

Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson was already suspended this week for “violating team rules.” Chiefs management was apparently angered by a report that Johnson pushed a woman in a Kansas City club in February while he was drinking. That was said to be at least the third incident involving Johnson, alcohol and violence against women. Johnson had previously been accused of pushing a woman to the floor three years ago after drinking. He was also accused of pulling a gun on a girlfriend during an argument while drinking in 2003.

Now comes word of a FOURTH incident. Johnson was reportedly in an altercation with a woman during the Chiefs bye week. He may or may not have spat on the woman. Shockingly, alcohol was apparently involved in incident number four. ESPN is reporting Johnson will be suspended by the National Football League under the league’s personal conduct policy, “It’s just a matter of for how long.”
