MANNY BEING DRUGGIE: “I DIDN’T KILL NOBODY. I DIDN’T RAPE NOBODY.”

MANNY RAMIREZ

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez made his first public comments since his suspension Tuesday night. Ramirez is currently serving a 50 game suspension for using a banned substance.

Ramirez told reporters that he has apologized to Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, manager Joe Torre, and his Dodgers teammates. Ramirez says he’s ready to”move on” adding,

“I didn’t kill nobody. I didn’t rape nobody. That’s it.”

Ramirez has admitted to using the female fertility drug human chorionic gonadotropin. He claims to have obtained a prescription for the drug from his doctor for a “medical condition.” However, Ramirez could have applied for a “therapeutic exemption” from MLB. He did not.

Because of his use of the drug, Ramirez was found to have four times the level of synthetic testosterone of a normal man. That apparently triggered his positive drug test this spring, leading to his suspension. Ramirez didn’t test positive for the HCG, merely the elevated testosterone level.

The Los Angeles Times says the existence of the prescription itself was enough to get Ramirez suspended, not cleared. The paper says that’s why Ramirez didn’t appeal his suspension.

MANNY RAMIREZ

The LA Times is reporting Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez will be suspended 50 games by Major League baseball for using performance enhancing drugs.

The Times article says Ramirez had a positive drug test and the suspension could take effect starting with tonight’s Dodgers game. The suspension will cost Ramirez 31% of his $25 million salary-roughly $7.7 million.

Through a statement issued by baseball’s union, Ramirez blamed his positive drug test on medication given to him by his doctor. However, other reports say the drug Ramirez tested positive for is a female fertility drug. In the book “Game of Shadows” by San Francisco Chronicle reporters Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada, the authors go into great detail about how one of the performance enhancing drugs Barry Bonds took was Clomid-a female fertlity drug. The New York Daily News says the drug Ramirez tested positive for is the same female fertility drug note drug/steroid abuser Jose Canseco got busted carryin acroxx the Mexican border.

A report by Yahoo! Sports says the performance enhancer Ramirez tested positive for was actually a SEXUAL enhancer. Yahoo! says the drug Ramirez tested positive for is usually prescribed for erectile dysfunction and is NOT generally used as a performance enhancer.

Unbelievably, the person who comes out of this fiasco looking the best is idiot savant Jose Canseco. The former MLB slugger and longtime admitted steroid user made yet another incredibly prescient prediction last month when he said it was “90%” probable that Manny Ramirez had taken steroids or other performance enhancing drugs.

Ramirez is undeniably the most famous baseball player ever suspended since drug testing began in 2003. He is currently hitting .348 for the Dodgers who, at 21-8, have the best record in baseball. The Dodgers started this season 13-0 at home, an all-time best in the history of Major League baseball.

YAY! MANNY AND DODGERS FINALLY GET DEAL DONE

DODGERS OWNER FRANK MCCOURT TELLS OUTFIELDER MANNY RAMIREZ EXACTLY WHERE TO GO

Our long national nightmare is over. After a seemingly endless series of mind-numbing negotiations, the Los Angeles Dodgers and free agent outfielder Manny Ramirez have apparently reached a deal on a two year contract.

It took four months of negotiations, during which Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and his wife both cried poverty. This despite spending $46 million on a Malibu beach house this offseason. There were times when the negotiations between McCourt and Ramirez’s agent, Scott Boras, were so bitter it didn’t look like a deal could get done. In the end though, Manny Ramirez needed the Dodgers (there were no other serious suitors) and they needed him (Ramirez led LA to their first postseason series victory since 1988.)

As ramirez told T.J. Simers of the LA Times, “Tell everyone Mannywood is coming.”

MILLION MANNY MARCH

Mets fans have taken to the streets.

The “Million Manny March” fell a little short as a group of about 40 fans protested outside the baseball team’s New York tv studios. The fans are demanding the New York Mets sign free agent outfielder Manny Ramirez.

Some of the protesters were interviewed by the New York Daily News. They were unanimously in favor of their team bringing in the flaky but power-hitting outfielder. One fan claimed current Mets hitters like David Wright and Jose Reyes think too much. He says,

“Manny won’t think. He might forget his pants, but he’ll give you four hits a game.”

TIM MCCARVER

Fox baseball announcer Tim McCarver has drawn attention for blasting Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez. In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, McCarver said Ramirez’ behavior with the Boston Red Sox was “despicable” before he was traded.

McCarver says, during his final weeks with the Red Sox, Ramirez didn’t want to play and refused to play in some games. McCarver also accused Ramirez of “forgetting what knee to limp on.”

In an appearance with Bob Lee on ESPN’s “Outside the Lines,” McCarver admitted he never personally witnessed any of Manny’s bad behavior but “read about it” in the Boston papers.
