O.J. MAYO: CHEATER AND LIAR IN COLLEGE, CHEATER AND LIAR IN THE PROS

January 30, 2011

Not only does Memphis Grizzlies guard O..J. take illegal drugs, he’s also a liar. Mayo has blamed a positive drug test on an energy drink he bought “at a gas station.”

Mayo is lying. DHEA, the substance he was caught using, is a major steroid used by numerous athletes in the past to enhance performance. Although available commercially, Dehydroepiandrosterone is not found in ANY energy drink.

So, in addition to being one of the most prolific cheaters in college basketball history, Mayo is now a proven liar and drug cheat as a professional.

MEMPHIS CENTER BEAT GIRLFRIEND IN ARGUMENT OVER SEXUAL POSITIONS?

HAMED HADDADI

Hamed Haddadi is the first Iranian player in NBA history. There appears to be little doubt that Haddadi, the Memphis Grizzlies third-string center, beat his girlfriend on Thanksgiving evening. The question is what happened.

Version 1: Haddadi smacked his girlfriend around after she “talked to another man.” (her version)

Version 2: She “fell” out of bed. (Haddadi’s original story)

Version 3: The intoxicated girlfriend and Haddadi argued over sexual positions.

ZACH RANDOLPH: WHY DO YOU THINK THEY CALL IT DOPE?

ZACH RANDOLPH

Memphis Grizzlies All-Star forward Zach Randolph is accused of possibly being a “drug kingpin” in Indianapolis. Indiana police arrested a man driving a car registered to Randolph on marijuana and gun charges. Authorities followed the man to a storage unit that was filled with drugs and guns. That storage unit was rented in Randolph’s name.

Channel 6, the local ABC affiliate, says a police informant has implicated Randolph as “a major marijuana supplier in Indianapolis.” The station described Randolph as having a “long criminal history.”

HASHEEM THABEET: BREAKS JAW AGAINST PORTLAND

Memphis Grizzlies center Hasheem Thabeet’s rookie season just went from worse to horrible, skipping right over bad. Thabeet suffered a broken jaw in Tuesday’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. He was the second overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft.

Although it’s just seven games into the season, Thabeet is suffering through one of the most disappointing rookie campaigns in NBA history. The former Connecticut star is averaging a horrific 0.7 point-per-game with 1.6 rebounds. Here’s some more mind bogglingly awful stats-Thabeet has a .000 free throw percentage and 0 career assists.

However, the worst news of all is the broken jaw. There’s no word yet on how long Thabeet will be sidelined. He actually broke his jaw on teammate Zach Randolph’s head. Talk about your rookie mistakes! (Although, in fairness, Randolph DOES have a big head.)

DARKO MILICIC IS REALLY, REALLY BAD

DARKO MILICIC

The New York Knicks are such an awful basketball team that it’s hard to conceive of a player coming to town that fans would complain about and hate worse than the current crew. However, the Knicks are on the verge of acquiring a player that will do exactly that.

According to Rotoworld the Memphis Grizzlies would be willing to absorb the contract of sullen forward Zach Randolph in exchange for the Knicks taking Darko Milicic off their hands. That rumor has picked up steam after a similar blurb in Newsday.

At least one blogger is outraged. The Sports Count contends that acquiring Darko would actually hurt the team’s “dignity.” According to the Count,

“if you’re already being criticised for your bad decisions and poor management, don’t trade for the single worst decision in NBA Draft History…”
