DOUCHE RADIO HOST OF THE DAY

September 21, 2010

A Michigan radio talk show host named Matt Patrick says that Michigan State college football coach Mark Dantonio’s heart attack was retribution from God for “cheating” against Notre Dame.

Says Patrick,

“I think that something spiritual happened on the field. … You cheat, on the last play of the game, in overtime, to beat the Irish? God’s going to get you.”

Patrick says the clock reached 0:00 before the final play of the Irish/Spartans game and Michigan State never should have been allowed to run the final game-winning play.

Patrick claims

CHARLIE WEIS REPORTEDLY THROWS PETE CARROLL AND HIS MISTRESS RIGHT UNDER THE BUS

CHARLIE WEIS AND PETE CARROLL

Fired Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis has already been embarrassed nationally after losing his job. He apparently wants company.

Weis complained to the editor of a Notre Dame fan website that he received national criticism for swearing while USC head coach Pete Carroll got a free pass for commiting adultery. Weis told Tom Prister of Irishillustrated.com:

“Let me ask you this question: You guys know about things that go on in different places. Was I living with a grad student in Malibu, or was I living with my wife in my house? You could bet that if I were living with a grad student here in South Bend, it would be national news. He’s doing it in Malibu and it’s not national news. What’s the difference? I don’t understand. Why is it okay for one guy to do things like that, but for me, I’m scrutinized when I swear. I’m sorry for swearing; absolve my sins.”

Beautiful! And, the interview is on tape.

The story was instantly picked up by the L.A. Times.

BOB STOOPS PUTTING THE “NO” IN NOTRE DAME

BOB STOOPS

Somebody’s lying.

Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops has repeatedly denied that he’s interested in the Notre Dame coaching job. Yet, Saturday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Stoops could be named the next Fighting Irish football coach as early as today. Assuming the Sun-Times has sources closer to South Bend than the Oklahoma football program, the newspaper found SOMEBODY from Notre Dame who was willing to go on record with the Stoops story. Somebody that insisted Stoops was coming to Notre Dame.

Not so, says Stoops. He went crazy Sunday denying the story. Stoops even put out an official statement saying:

“For the third, and hopefully final time, let me again state that I will continue to be the coach at Oklahoma. I appreciate the history and tradition of Notre Dame. I also appreciate the history and tradition of Oklahoma, and I have been part of building that tradition here. There haven’t been any plans for a meeting or negotiations with Notre Dame and there will not be. Any reporting to that fact is completely erroneous. I will not be the next coach at Notre Dame.”

Geeze, that seems pretty definitive. Bob Stoops is NOT coming to Notre Dame. Yet, …

Practically every network and ESPN television announcer and analyst came flat out and said they thought Stoops was lying Saturday. One humorous note, fired Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis told the Chicgo Tribune that he had at least 100 “for sale” signs placed in his yard when he was the Irish coach.

THE CHARLIE WEIS/JIMMY CLAUSEN ERA HAS BEEN A BLACK EYE FOR NOTRE DAME FAITHFUL

Media reports indicate that Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis has already cleared out his office in anticipation of being fired. The Fighting Irish finished the 2009 regular season 6-6 following a 45-38 loss to Stanford Saturday night. Stanford tailback Toby Gerhart ran roughshod over a pathetic Irish defense with 205 yards and three touchdowns.

Speculation has already started over who will replace Weis at Notre Dame.

JIMMY CLAUSEN: YOUNG QUARTERBACK, VETERAN DRINKER

In what could be the final week of the Charlie Weis era, Notre Dame’s disappointing college football season appears to be coming to a controversial ending. Apparently, an irate Notre Dame fan struck Fighting Irish quarterback Jimmy Clausen in the face outside a South Bend bar early Saturday night/Sunday morning following the team’s loss to Connecticut. Clausen reportedly suffered a black eye in the incident which police say happened at 2 a.m. According to ESPN, Claussen was “sucker-punched” after having dinner with his parents. The Chicago Tribune interviewed a bartender who claims Clausen was inside the bar with family members following the loss to Connecticut.

It was Clausen’s third public incident involving drinking or in a bar, the first since he turned 21. The quarterback was cited on an alcohol charge in 2007 as a minor. He was also photographed participating in the “Beer Olympics” in 2008. Those pictures appeared on the website The Big Lead.
