Rampage Jackson is a motorboating fool

June 1, 2011

Actor/UFC fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson either gave a lighthearted interview with a female reporter named Karyn Bryant or is a serial sexual harasser. It depends on who you ask. Bryant herself did not appear offended at all when Jackson pretended to motorboat her breasts and threatened to “hump” her. (Watch the above video.)

On the other hand, Maggie Hendricks of Yahoo! Sports was outraged at Jackson and his history of bad behavior towards female reporters. MMA writer Michael David Smith also wrote a story about Jackson’s history of harassing behavior which included this montage of embarrassing video.

Keep in mind Jackson has a history of possible mental illness and was once almost gunned down by LA cops in an insane police chase.

RAMPAGE JACKSON

Most people know Quinton “Rampage” Jackson these days as B.A. Baracus from the movie “The A-Team.” Saturday night in Las Vegas, Jackson proved he’s still a force in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Jackson scored a unanimous decision over Matt Hamill.

Although he easily controlled the fight, the MGM Grand crowd booed Jackson over what they percived as a lackluster performance. Now that he’s an entertainer, fans may have been expecting more. Jackson defended himself by pointing out that he entered the fight with a broken hand. That, he says, was the real reason there was no knockout of Hamill.

Also victorious Saturday was former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir. He beat the fat, yet popular, Roy Nelson. Most fans remember Nelson as the winner of Season 10 of the UFC reality tv show “The Ultimate Fighter.” That was the most-watched season of the popular UFC-based show, mainly because of the appearance of novelty act Kimbo Slice. Nelson easily defeated Slice in that series. Saturday, Nelson was no match for Mir. Although, in fairness, Mir wasn’t exactly looking svelte himself.

Other UFC 130 winners included Travis Browne, Rick Story, Brian Stann and Demetrious Johnson.

UFC 123 RECAP

November 21, 2010

Rampage Jackson escaped with a narrow decision over Lyoto Machida at UFC 123 in Detroit Saturday night. In fact, Jackson actually thought he had lost the decision. He even held up Machida’s hand in triumph following the fight. An angry UFC president Dana White got Jackson back in line after the surprising decision. Jackson’s new take: “When he dominated me so much in the third round, I forgot what happened in the first two rounds.” Two of the judges had given the first two rounds to Jackson and scored it 29-28 giving him a split decision. Several media organizations including ESPN.com, Sherdog and USA Today had scored the fight for Machida

In other action on the UFC 123 card, veteran champions Matt Hughes and B.J. Penn met for the third time. Penn, coming off two title losses to Frankie Edgar, knocked Hughes out in the first round.

RAMPAGE JACKSON SAYS ACTING IS “KIND OF GAY”

RAMPAGE JACKSON

Despite the fact that he’s likely to enjoy more success as a movie star than as a UFC fighter this summer, “Rampage” Jackson says he’s not impressed with actors. In fact, Jackson told the L.A. Times recently that acting is “kind of gay.” He ridiculed actors for being “soft” and needing “people combing your hair and putting a coat over your shoulders when you’re cold.”

Jackson is starring in the “A-Team” movie which is out this month reviving the classic Mr. T role of B.A. Baracus.

UFC 114 PREVIEW: EVANS CALLS JACKSON “A SAMBO”

UFC 114 takes place in Las Vegas this weekend.

The top of the card features a bout between Rashad Evans and Rampage Jackson. The winner of that fight will meet UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Shogun Rua for the title. There had been plans for Evans and Jackson to fight earlier but Jackson was busy filming the movie “The A-Team.”British fighter Michael Bisping, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and ex-reality tv star of “The Ultimate Fighter” Diego Sanchez are also on the card.

Although it hasn’t been played up, there are some racial elements to the Jackson/Evans main event. The matchup marks the biggest confrontation between two African-American fighters in UFC history. Evans has called Jackson an “Uncle Tom” and a “Sambo.” Jackson has called Evans “ignorant.”

Fan-favorite Forrest Griffin was originally supposed to be on the UFC 114 card, fighting Nogueira, but had to withdraw due to a shoulder injury.

RAMPAGE JACKSON RETIRES

RAMPAGE JACKSON AND DANA WHITE

Steve Cofield of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the feud between UFC president Dana White and fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has gotten so bad that Jackson just announced his retirement. White has taken several shots at Jackson since he decided to make an “A-Team” movie rather than fight Rashad Evans.

Jackson made the announcement on his website. He didn’t just burn his bridges with UFC, he torched and napalmed them. If you thought Milton Bradley dissed Chicago Cubs fans, check out what Jackson wrote about UFC fans on his website. He called them:

“dumb ass fans that don’t pay my bills or put my kids through college”

Jackson added,

“All you hater fans out there can kiss my big black hairy ass.”

White responded by saying Jackson is “acting like a baby” in a radio interview he did today. The UFC can’t simply blow off Jackson since he’s one of the coaches and an integral part of their just-taped “The Ultimate Fighter: Season 10” reality tv show.

RAMPAGE JACKSON PICKS UP WIN SATURDAY NIGHT

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson continued his comeback with a unanimous decision over Keith Jardine in UFC 96 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio Saturday night. The Jackson victory means he will get a shot at the UFC light heavyweight title against Rashad Evans at UFC 98 May 23rd in Las Vegas. The Brock Lesnar/Frank Mir UFC heavyweight championship bout was supposed to headline UFC 98, but has been moved to UFC 100 after Mir suffered a knee injury. Instead, the Evans/Jackson match will now top the UFC 98 card.

In other action from UFC 96, it took only 69 seconds for Shane Carwin to defeat Gabriel Gonzaga in a heavyweight match and Matt Brown picked up a win over over Peter Sell. Matt Hamill, Kendall Grove, Shane Nelson and Brandon Vera were other winners Saturday.
