NFL PLAYER SHOT

RICHARD COLLIER

There have been a pair of incredibly violent incidents involving football players-one in college and one in the NFL.

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Richard Collier is reportedly in critical condition and suffered life threatening injuries after being shot multiple times outside a Florida apartment building.

The shooting occured early Tuesday morning. Collier and a friend were reportedly waiting for a pair of women they had met while out clubbing that night.

The website Profootballtalk.com maintains the Jaguars need to “clean things up” pointing out that no less than 10 members of the team have been arrested recently. Just this weekend Jacksonville running back Fred Taylor was involved in an incident where police pulled a gun on him.

Meanwhile, in a shocking incident in Norman, Oklahoma, Sooners defensive end Frank Alexander was briefly hospitalized after a brawl following his team’s 57-2 victory over Chattanooga. Reports are that a fight between Oklahoma athletes and patrons at a local nightclub involved GUNS, KNIVES AND TIRE IRONS.

Alexander was treated and released at Norman Regional Hospital following the incident. Several people were reportedly stabbed in the melee.
