ROGER CLEMENS

There have also been reports recently that Clemens used money from his charity to buy illegal PED’s.

LATEST ACCUSATION: CLEMENS USED CHARITY MONEY TO BUY DRUGS

June 14, 2010

Longtime Roger Clemens nemesis Brian McNamee has made a new round of allegations against the 300-game winner. Clemens’ former trainer says the pitcher used money from his charity foundation to buy illegal Performance Enhancing Drugs.

Worse, McNamee didn’t make those charges to the media. He told them to the feds who are investigating a possible perjury case against Clemens.  That opens up the possibilty of the Roger Clemens Foundation coming under federal scrutiny for possible criminal or tax charges.

The only good news for Clemens is that the AP is reporting that McNamee could not produce any documents or records to support his charges.

Washed up country music singer-turned reality tv star Mindy McCready has fallen so low she’s now doing porn. McCready has a sex video out for sale which also features commentary and interviews. In one of the excerpts, McCready says her famed lover, baseball pitcher Roger Clemens, has a smaller penis than the guy who played Superman on tv in the 90s. McCready also says Clemens often had trouble getting an erection.

Must be the steroids.

*Update: Apparently, federal prosecutors feel the same. The Sporting News is reporting that the Feds are interviewing McCready about Clemens’erectile dysfunction which is a possible symptom of steroid use.

ROGER CLEMENS CONTINUES TO SWEAR HE DIDN’T DO STEROIDS

Deny, deny, deny.

That’s the tactic former Major League pitcher Roger Clemens continues to employ denying he ever took performance-enhancing drugs. Today, Clemens did his first public interview since appearing before congress to testify about steroids. Clemens appeared on the ESPN radio show “Mike and Mike” with Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic. The entire ESPN Radio interview can be heard:

HERE

The interview is sure to be bashed by critics. The hosts let Clemens make his denials pretty much unchallenged. Golic and Greenberg  were in an impossible position. As Jason Whitlock asserted this past week, ESPN is The Devil. The network has become little more than a mouthpiece for both teams and players/agents for their agendas. ESPN chooses to view itself as a “broadcast partner” with every sport rather than as a journalistic enterprise. At ESPN you can actually get suspended merely for having an opinion. Scott Van Pelt, the usually glad-handing, imbecilic tv anchor, who also has his own radio show on ESPN, found that out the hard way. ESPN suspended him simply for saying that he thought Bud Selig’s $18.5 million annual salary was too high. You can bet Van Pelt will never express his opinion on another radio show ever again.

Mike and Mike were screwed from the beginning. If Clemens were going to simply lie to them, what were they supposed to do? Technically, Greenberg and Golic asked the right questions. Clemens just kept sputtering denials. It sounded like HE didn’t even believe what he was saying. Unfortunately, there’s a reason Clemens (and more importantly his scumbag handlers) chose ESPN as a venue for him to make his first public appearance. It’s the same reason Alex Rodriguez CHOSE Peter Gammons and ESPN when he made his first appearance after being exposed as a steroids user.  Handlers for both Rodriguez and Clemens knew they could control the setting. ESPN let Clemens come on and  read his pre-prepared denials. It’s just too bad Clemens doesn’t read very well.

Mike and Mike asked Clemens about his friend and fellow pitcher Andy Pettitte’s testimony before Congress. Pettitte testified that he and Clemens had conversations about steroid use. Clemens gave the ridiculous answer that Pettitte simply “misremembered.” When asked about his DNA being on needles and other steroids paraphernalia that his former trainer Brian McNamee handed over to the FBI, Clemens simply said, “That’s impossible.”

If Clemens and his handlers thought today’s interview was simply a way to get their spin out before the public, they are sadly mistaken. There are reports that today’s interview may “reinvigorate” the perjury investigation into Clemens’ testimony before Congress. One expert says Clemens doing interviews is “like poking a stick in the federal government’s eye.”

Clemens did make one new assertion in the Mike and Mike interview. He said, with his family’s history of heart disease, it would be “suicidal” for him to use steroids. He then cited his stepfather’s heart attack. Using a STEP-father’s heart attack as a genetic reason that you would never use steroids is not smart. Then again, Roger Clemens is not a smart man.

NEW BOOK HEAPS MORE DIRT ON ROGER CLEMENS

April 22, 2009

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

SI.com has excerpts of a new book which trashes former Major League Baseball star pitcher Roger Clemens. The book, entitled “American Icon,” claims Clemens once kept 12 apartments on the road for his mistresses.

The book also claims the first words Clemens ever uttered to trainer Brian McNamee were,

“Can you help me? I can’t inject in my booty.”

Clemens reportedly made the comments about trying to inject himself with steroids. McNamee’s testimony against Clemens’ about his steroid use eventually led to a lawsuit and congressional hearings. Clemens testified under oath that not only did he never take steroids, but he “never” cheated on his wife.

Of course, the New York tabloids are going crazy with this story.

CITO GASTON SAYS ROGER CLEMENS IS “AN A**HOLE”

CITO GASTON AND ROGER CLEMENS

From Can’t Stop The Bleeding via The Toronto Star

Roger Clemens is an a–hole. That according to current Toronto Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston who managed the star pitcher back in the late ’90s. Gaston made his negative comments about Clemens to writer Jeff Pearlman for his book “The Rocket That Fell to Earth.” Gaston was interviewed about his comments for Pearlman’s book by Morgan Campbell of the Toronto Star and said,

“He’s an a—–e himself. A complete a—–e,” Gaston said with a chuckle. “And I’ll say that loud, right in his face. It was all about him. Ain’t about nobody else but him.”

“When he’s pitching, everyone’s in the dugout pulling for him, but when he’s not pitching he’s not in the dugout. I didn’t feel like he supported his teammates as much as he wanted support.”

Gaston already didn’t like Clemens. Pearlman reveals in his book that Clemens stabbed Gaston in the back and got him fired to bring in his buddy, Tim Johnson, as manager.

Johnson turned out to be the most fraudulent manager in Major League history. He beat out numerous high profile candidates to get the Blue Jays gig including Davey Johnson, Buck Martinez, Paul Molitor and Larry Bowa. Johnson got the Toronto based on his friendship with Clemens and his ability to “motivate” players. Johnson was know for his memorable stories about his combat in Nam. The problem was Johnson NEVER served in Vietnam. His lies about his combat experience eventually got Johnson fired by Toronto.

ROGER CLEMENS’ DIRTY NEEDLE

The FBI has confirmed to the New York Times that drug paraphernalia allegedly used by former superstar pitcher Roger Clemens contains traces of performance-enhancing drugs.

The Feds received syringes, vials, and gauze from Clemens’ former trainer, Brian Mcnamee. The Feds had already disclosed, earlier this year, that Clemens’ DNA was on the drug paraphernalia. A grand jury is currently investigating whether Clemens should be charged with perjury for lying to Congress about his use of PEDs.
