78-YEAR-OLD DAN RATHER REALLY STEPS IN IT WITH INCREDIBLY RACIST COMMENT

Ugh!

Have you ever noticed how once you get old enough you’ll say ANYTHING without regards to the consequences? Washed up liberal news announcer Dan Rather REALLY screwed up recently. Appearing on “The Chris Matthews Show” over the weekend, Rather, who is now 78, made a blatantly racist statement, saying of President Obama:

“He couldn’t sell watermelons if you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic.”

 

Ok. Forget context or intentions. If ANYBODY on the right had made that statement they’d be fired. Forget that Rather doesn’t have a real job to be fired from. Where’s the outrage? Rather got dumped as the CBS Evening News anchor because of reckless statements. Under what scenario are Rather’s comments NOT inappropriate?
