A court in Iceland has ruled that “former World Chess Champion/serial anti-semite” Bobby Fischer’s body can be exhumed to determine the paternity of a 9-year-old girl.

Fischer was once acknowledged as “one of the greatest chess players in history.” He became a pop icon in the ’70s after defeating Russian chess player Boris Spassky. However, in his later years, Fischer became known for a series of insanely anti-semitic remarks he made in public. Fischer proclaimed he “despised” Jews and reportedly “worshipped” Hitler. He died in 2008.

One of the world’s top chess players was disqualified from a match in India after being so drunk that he passed out. Vladislav Tkachiev lost the match when he couldn’t  make a move in the alloted 30 minutes. Tkachiev couldn’t make a move because he was unconscious.

 

 

TKACHIEV APPARENTLY SMOKES AS WELL AS DRINKS

 

Tkachiev has been trying to break what he calls “stereotypes” about chess players. He says not all chess players are “inactive, unattractive and aged.”

That’s right. Some chess players are also drunk and crazy. Way to show diversity!

Like Daisy De La Hoya, apparently every picture ever taken of Tkachiev shows him smoking a cigarette. Tkachiev is also famous for once organizing the “World Chess Beauty Contest” in an effort to find hot chicks who play chess.
