KXTV in Sacramento ran a story about high school cheerleaders wearing “micromini uniforms.” Although the ABC affiliate feigned outrage and showed a crying teenager, it sure as hell didn’t stop them from airing the “controversial” pictures of cheerleaders wearing their REALLY short uniforms.

It all started when the student yearbook staff at River City High School printed an article entitled “Who Wears Short Shorts?” The yearbook then published pictures of the entire cheerleader squad. Not only that but the yearbook also published revealing photos of the squad warming up by doing jumping jacks while wearing the tiny unis with predictably revealing shots.

The school literally stopped the presses after distributing the first 400 copies of the yearbook to students. A cheerleader revolt almost ensued.The school apologized and is re-editing the remaining copies of this year’s River City High yearbook.

Even the JV girls are forced to dress like sluts.

CHEERLEADERS WHINE ABOUT SKIMPY OUTFITS

This could be a first. For perhaps the first time in history, high school cheerleaders are on record that their uniforms are TOO skimpy. Usually, it’s the other way around. It’s school administrators who are trying to cover the girls up.

However, the high school cheerleaders in Bridgeport, Connecticut are complaining that their midrift-showing unis are too revealing. School officials say they will allow girls to wear black body suits under their uniforms.

A Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader is suing the TheDirty.com for libel after the website implied she might have a pair of venereal diseases. The Dirty says the cheerleader’s boyfriend “cheated on her with over 50 girls in 4 years.”

“Sarah J” is also school teacher in Kentucky. The Dirty says her boyfriend may have given her Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

Don’t mess Missouri lady hoopsters.

Two members of the Missouri womens basketball team were arrested over the weekend after allegedly assaulting one of the school’s male cheerleaders. Amanda Hannamen and Jessra Johnson were charged with assaulting Justin Short at a party early Saturday morning. The cheerleader suffered a broken nose, black eye, and a dislocated shoulder in the incident.

Apparently, the cheerleader (Short) was having a party at his house. According to the police report, at 2 a.m. he told the players he wanted to go to bed and asked them to leave. An argument ensued and Johnson shoved the cheerleader. Hanneman then allegedly punched him in the face repeatedly leading to the broken nose and black eye. Hanneman is listed as 5-foot-11 in the Missouri media guide. Johnson is 6-foot-1.

Both players were suspended by the school’s basketball team. Hanneman and Johnson also happen to be the top two scorers on the Missouri basketball team. Hanneman had 26 points in the Tigers’ season opener.

BUT DOES SHE KNOW THE CAPITAL OF AFGANISTAN?

Terrific. There’s now a written test required to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

Kelli Finglass is the squad’s director. She claims cheerleaders have to be smart as well as beautiful. This year hundreds of girls will try out to be one of the Dallas Cowoys Cheerleaders. Only 45 will be invited to “cheerleader training camp” in june. The final squad will consist of 36 girls. Previous members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have to try out again every single year.

Potential cheerleaders are being given a written test with 80-100 questions. Most of the questions involve the history of the Cowboys. However, some of the questions involve news and current events. Here are a couple of sample questions:

* Can you name one country that borders Iraq?

* How many stars are on the uniform of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders?

The answer to question one is, “Iran, Turkey, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Syria or Jordan.”

The answer to question two is, “Who gives a damn?”

Today’s  Dallas Morning News ran a sample list of eight questions called “Cheerleader Quiz.”

The state of Texas has a history of cheerleading competition being murder. This week three members of the Chapin High School Sapphires Dance Team in El Paso, Texas have been suspended for putting rat poison in their rivals’ cupcakes.

Chapin High had just exchanged sweets with girls from their arch-rival Andress. It was part of a tradition between both schools before their annual football game. The cupcakes and brownies given by the Chapin Sapphires were confiscated when it was revealed that members of the dance team had laced the treats with rat poison, bleach and laxatives.
