JAY MARIOTTI: SANCTIMONIOUS DOUCHE ADMITS TO BEATING WOMAN
Former Chicago Sun-Times and Fanhouse.com columnist Jay Mariotti has pleaded no contest to one count of domestic violence count of misdemeanor battery in California. In exchange, the remaining six counts of domestic violence against him will be dropped.
Mariotti reportedly received three years probation and 40 days of community service.
The manufacturer has recalled all of the boxes of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco’s cereal “Ochocinco’s.” The reason for the recall is because an 800 number listed on the box directs callers to a phone sex line instead of the intended charity’s number.
ALBERTO CANTADOR
Cyclists have a long and storied history history of being drug cheats. Therefore, it was no surprise when Tour de France champion Alberto Cantador of Spain tested positive for the banned steroid clenbuterol.
What is surprising is Cantador’s defense. He claims to have accidentally ingested the drug through a “tainted” steak. Even more amazing is the fact that experts say it’s theoretically possible that Cantador’s claims are true. In France, companies have been caught illegall putting that steroid into livestock-in the amount that would have caused Cantador’s positive test for clenbuterol.
HOMEWRECKER CLUBWRECKER LALA VAZQUEZ
Several media outlets are painting Carmelo Anthony’s wife, former MTV VJ and reality tv actress LaLa Vazquez, as the villain in his possible departure from the Denver Nuggets.
The Denver Post bitterly reported that “league sources” are saying Vazquez is demanding Anthony play basketball in either New York or Los Angeles. Vazquez recently talked to the Daily News saying the New York market is a “possibility” for her husband. Trade talks between the New Jersey Nets and the Denver Nuggets involving a four-team swap sending Anthony to New Jersey may be ongoing despite earlier reports that the rumored deal was “dead.”
HENRY BURRIS
Sports Hell hath no fury like a Saskatchewan Roughrider fan scorned. Just ask Canadian Football League quarterback Henry Burris. Burris spurned the Roughriders a couple years ago by bolting for the Calgary Stampeders via free agency. Now fans have posted photos of Burris wearing a bra in a photo with a woman who is not his wife.
The photos were leaked on a Roughriders fan page. The photos were apparently taken off Facebook and from a birthday party for Burris.

Oft-injured Portland Trail Blazer center is way behind schedule in rehabbing his blown out knee. There are reports that he may not play until December.
Oden has proclaimed he quit drinking, going to clubs and has also trimmed fast food out of his diet. Oden’s weight is down but his knee remains injured.
MICHAEL VICK
Apparently dog murdering isn’t such a big deal after all. Despite spending 19 months in prison on dog fighting charges, Michael Vick’s jersey is once again one of the NFL’s biggest sellers according to Darren Rovell of CNBC.
Vick has the Eagles at 2-1 and his quarterback rating over over 110 is the best of his career. Major retail outlets in the tri-state area are struggling to fill the demand for Vick jerseys.

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Blake Hawksworth is recovering from being hit in the face by a line drive over the weekend. Hawksworth required nearly 30 stitches to sew up his lip.

Blogger Mike Stark has apparently busted House Minority Leader John Boehner who he says is having an affair. Stark confronted Boehner at a public appearance Friday and directly asked him if he was having an affair with a lobbyist named Lisbeth Lyons. Boehner refused to answer the question.
The New York Times and New York Post are apparently coming out with stories about Boehner’s alleged affair.
