In a segment entitled “White Men Can’t Judge,” Stewart brings some much-needed humor and levity to the Senate confirmation hearings for proposed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
Stewart lambasts Senators from the left and the right in this Comedy Central VIDEO.
Stewart got a standing ovation when he implied wikipedia was more intelligent than the U.S. Senate.

Today, the fun continued when Sotomayor’s nemesis, Oklahoma Republican Senator Tom Coburn, pulled out a Ricky Ricardo impersonation, telling Her Honor she had “lots of splainin’ to do.”

DAVE CHAPPELLE: NEEDS STIMULUS MONEY?
If a Los Angeles comedy club owner has his way, part of President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus package will go to comedian Dave Chappelle. Jamie Masada of the Laugh Factory says he wants to start a comedy tour to visit the nation’s most economically depressed area.
The proposed tour would travel the country by bus and hand out sandwiches and coffee in a “town hall setting.” Masada says several big name comedians including Chappelle, Dane Cook and Paul Rodriguez have already agreed to participate in the tour. He needs $700,000 to “gas up the buses” to make it happen. Why would the country want to give money to a comedian (Chappelle) who walked out on a $50 million contract from Comedy Central? Simple, to make poor people laugh.
Masada says he realizes his proposed project is way down on the list for stimulus funding, pointing out he doesn’t have any lobbyists. However, he says he’s already written President Obama and “Nancy-what’s-her-name (Pelosi)” about the project.

Comedian Sarah Silverman is apparently taking time off from her efforts to get old Jewish people in Florida to vote for Barack Obama and driving her ex-boyfriend, Jimmy Kimmel, insane.
Silverman recently made her comedy debut in London. It didn’t go well. After performing for only 40 minutes, fans were apparently so disappointed that they refused to leave until Silverman came out APOLOGIZED and did an awkward Q&A session onstage. She was heckled and booed the whole time by the usually reserved English audience.
The BBC called Silverman’s performance “excruciatingly embarrassing,” “shocking,” and a “near disgrace.”
The Daily Mail review of the fiasco called Silverman a “bomb” and a “flop.” The paper derided her billing as “the funniest woman alive” and ridiculed her material which consisted of jokes “about abortion and rape.”
The usually staid Times of London mocked Silverman for coming out and doing her apology set in shower shoes. The paper openly wondered whether Silverman’s comedy persona of “mock narcissism” was “mock at all.”
That’s British for “She Sucks.”
