As you read this item keep in mind it took McDonald’s 18 years to sell their first 100 million hamburgers. Meanwhile, it took Taco Bell just 10 weeks to sell 100 million Doritos tacos. The Doritos Locos Taco is now being officially proclaimed as “the chain’s most popular product ever.”

Taco Bell is replacing McDonald’s as the National Basketball Association’s official fast-food sponsor. The deal is for four years and puts Taco Bell commercials on TNT, ESPN and ABC. It also gives the fast-food chain title sponsorship of several All-Star events such as the Jam Session.
McDonald’s had been with the NBA for 20 years. Long enough to have shot the above Michael Jordan/Larry Bird commercial, which is a classic.
